Tea (Camellia sinensis)
in Assam. Darjeeling. Travancore, the Nilgris, Malabar, North Bengal, Dehra Dun and Kumaon (Uttrakhand).
Cured leaves are used as beverage. For preparing black tea the leaves are withred
rolled, fermented and dried, while for green tea, leaves are steamed and dried without fermenting. Tannins of tea waste have been found useful in plywood industry for preparing hot setting plywood adhesives.
